Travel magazine Cartography visits China, Argentina and Jordan to bring you visual treats in large format.

"The number 6 of Cartography opens with a journey to the outermost borders of China: the autonomous region of Xinjiang Uygur, once the beating heart of the Silk Road, where today Uyghurs with Turkish features and blue Tajaks with blue eyes mix together Zoroastrian mosques and temples coexist side by side. The second stop is Argentina, whose borders are based on natural elements: rivers to the north and north-east, the Andes to the west, the river and the Atlantic further to the east. From the subtropical forest of Misiones to the watery province wedged between Paraguay and Brazil, as far as the northwest of the Andes - where the faces of the people are burned by the altitude and the light confuses the streets - and in the beginning of the south, Patagonia, that pushes against the beautiful Precordillera. Finally, photographer Catherine Hyland accompanies us along the Jordan Trail, from South Little Petra to Titin Village, on a 100-mile eight-day trek, sleeping mostly in wild fields where meals are prepared by local communities. Discovering a continuous excursion itinerary that crosses the whole of Jordan, from the fertile Crescent to the border with the Arab desert and the Red Sea."
