Warosuku are hand rolled candles. They are made using a practise called kiro-tegake-seiho, a Japanese traditional art. The process involves rotating the wick, made from washi paper and a rush skewer, in the right hand whilst hot wax is smoothed onto it with the left hand. The rush skewer is delicately removed at the end of the process.
The rice wax used is from the otherwise unused husk and germ of rice.
These are incredible gift candles, perfect for the table during your Christmas dinner. They only burn for a short time so they are also ideal for use during meditation or reading your favourite magazine to.
