A photocopy photo-zine published on the occasion of VOLUMES Independent Art Publishing Fair at Kunsthalle Zurich
Stéphanie Gygax is a Swiss-born photographer currently living in Zurich. She holds a degree from the School of Applied Arts in Vevey and won the Swiss Design Award with her graduation project in 2001. She completed a further education programme in 2015 and obtained a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Research and Art Knowledge at Zurich University of the Arts. She has worked for numerous Swiss and international magazines and is now focusing on cultural commissions. Her artistic practice, which combine an offbeat approach to documentary with an intimate and distinctive gaze, were featured in a number of art spaces, museums and book fairs. Producing zines as well as books and collaborating closely with various independent publishers, she is very involved in the design process and occasionally works as an art director. A lecturer at HEAD – Genève School of Art and Design since 2003, she developed a curriculum which explores the relationship between photography and printed matter.
