Where is the cool in this issue? A pretentious take on the best in life.

"Since "independent magazine" doesn't mean anything anymore, and since we rely only on our subscribers to exist (no advertising or distribution networks) we decided to give ourselves the very pompous title of "alternative magazine" today. The funny thing is that there is nothing more basic than our way of doing things: talking about the people and things we like without any kind of seasonality (since there is none anymore), nothing else.

Once again, we claim a certain form of "amateurism", we never lock ourselves in the certainties of professionalism in order to remain alert and keep a fresh look on the world and our work. Our approach resembles in many ways that of the craft, where it is a question of perfect imperfection, this admirable margin of error linked to the human being.
To conclude, let's quote the mythical shaper Malcolm Campbell who, in the same interview, quotes the Kinks: “If all life we work and work is a bore, and all life’s for living, then what’s living for?” and also the Talking Heads:
"Never for Money, Always for Love"...
Yours truly,
Laurent Laporte"
