Yay, this magazine is no longer owned by a bunch of cretins. So we now stock it!

Welcome to i-D’s Beta Issue, a tribute to the Generation Beta kids born in 2025 and anyone at any age who operates outside of the constraints of their era.

In this issue, Teyana Taylor fronts the definitive oral history of Telfar. Clocking in at over 12,000 words, the story of Telfar takes us from Lefrak City, Queens to Liberia to the halls of Paris Fashion Week, told to i-D’s editor-in-chief Thom Bettridge and Keenan MacWilliam by the people who were with Telfar every step of the way. Jason Nocito shoots the winners of Telfar’s New Models casting campaign, and longtime Telfar fashion director Avena Gallagher mixes up new and old Telfar collections to prove TC never goes out of style. Teyana Taylor, who walked in Telfar’s first-ever fashion show, also opens up to Lakin Imani Starling about how she’s keeping it 100 this year with a new album and a handful of new film and TV projects.

We’re also bringing together everyone from Boomers to babies to paint a comprehensive picture of being alive in 2025. We learn dropping in from a Gen Z skater, we reinvent ourselves with a Gen X It Girl, and we celebrate our roots with a Millennial musician redefining fame. There is community found in Tribeca lofts and Californian ranches, freedom in Pattaya pageants and Hackney art studios, and mischief at the Chateau Marmont and in the halls of Paris grand maisons where a new generation of designers are reimagining fashion.

Also insi-De: Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico, Olivier Rousteing’s realest interview ever, Gregg Araki’s hot new film, Phoebe Gates’ secrets to success, the world’s most famous dog, some tips for your LinkedIn, Creepy Chan, and much, much more.
