"From day one, EPOCH’s driving force has been the desire to create a unique dialogue between history and the contemporary. Rethinking how we see, experience, and understand the past has manifested at a scale beyond our dreams. This special issue was created in close collaboration with the Archaeological Park of Pompeii. Over a year in the making, the issue explores the UNESCO World Heritage Site in a radical way, with over 20 commissioned photographic shoots, 30 interviews, five thought pieces, and hundreds of hours of work."
