Issue 09:
"An edition dedicated to a deeper message whispered reflection of a truth we often ignore: Trying to hard can break us. In Boris and Arkady Strugatsky’s novel and film It’s Hard to Be God, Anton, the protagonist, acts as a sort of God among the locals, trying to guide their history, trying to save them from themselves, but all his efforts are futile. He’s trapped by the power he wields. Van Gogh once said “I dream my paintings, and then I paint my dream”. In a way, we are all like Van Gogh, painting our lives in strokes of passion and hope, imagining that if we dream big enough, we will leave a masterpiece behind. Yet, the deeper message whispers to us not about the gods we might become, but the humans we already are."
