"Our brand-new, 83rd issue of Huck, covered by Wu-Tang Clan’s spiritual leader RZA is here.
It’s also the first issue to land on Huck’s 20th anniversary year, which in this incredibly tough landscape for independent publishing, is a milestone we are proud to have reached.
The past two decades have been quite the journey, which is the theme of this issue. We’ve caught up with some of our favourite cultural, music and sporting pioneers to hear about their paths to where they are, and pick up some nuggets of wisdom for everyone to glean along the way.
Beyond RZA, there’s Brazilian women skateboarding pioneer Leticia Bufoni. Gorillaz’s visual mastermind Jamie Hewlett meditating on death. A View from a Bridge’s Joe Bloom on human storytelling. One of the last oyster fishermen on the River Fal. DJ AG. A dive into Vietnam’s hardcore punk scene.
Of course, that’s not all – there’s many more carefully told stories of rebellion and refusal to bend to the norm, wonderfully written reportage and beautiful photography. See below for what Huck’s Editor Josh Jones has to say about the issue in his editor’s letter."
