The New Standard is an inaugural publication brought to you by design studios Made Thought, Map Project Office and Universal Design Studio. This namesake publication features a selection of work from the studios who together make up The New Standard alongside inspiring brands and game-changing individuals who share the collective’s values and vision for the future- and the power that creativity holds to disrupt the status quo.
Issue No. 1 focuses on collaboration, covering the trio’s own collaborations with world-renowned brands such as IBM, Google, Paul Smith and Rimowa, alongside how they have used creativity to introduce new ideas to the world - from new dating app Feeld to an AI-driven first aid kit for the future. Other features include a focus on next-gen materials and what creatives need to do to make them mainstream, an interview with the founder of Horst who is using the arts and architecture to rethink the local impact of music festivals, and the CEO of Natoora discussing a global network of chefs, growers and suppliers helping to bring radical seasonality to the world.
